Where our data comes from

DostIpo aggregates IPO information exclusively from publicly available sources, and maintains a record of where each figure originates:

Data typePrimary source
Bidding dates, price band, lot sizeExchange filings (BSE/NSE) and the offer document
Live subscription ratiosRegistrar and exchange disclosures, captured periodically during the bidding window
Reservation & anchor bookRHP disclosures and exchange allotment intimations
Restated financials & KPIsThe company's offer document (RHP/DRHP)
GMPGrey-market dealer quotes, unofficial by definition
Allotment / listing outcomesRegistrar portals and exchange listing notices

Refresh cycles

During live offer periods, automated collectors poll sources roughly every twenty minutes. Each snapshot is timestamped before it is stored, so every figure on the site can be traced to a specific moment. Between offer windows the schedule relaxes; upcoming issues are re-checked whenever new filings appear.

Grey market premium (GMP) methodology

GMP is the price at which IPO shares change hands unofficially before listing. It is an estimate built on market chatter, not an exchange-traded price: there is no settlement guarantee, no regulator, and quotes can move within minutes. Our desk records the prevailing quote, its trend direction over successive checks, and computes the implied listing gain as GMP divided by the upper price band. We always display it with these caveats attached, never as a guaranteed listing price or promised return.

Subscription capture

Category-wise subscription ratios (total, QIB, NII including the big/small split, retail and employee) are snapshotted periodically while bidding is open, and each snapshot is retained to build a day-wise progression for the issue. Figures are final only when the bidding window closes; intermediate values can and do change materially within hours.

Financial data from offer documents

Three-year restated financials (assets, income, PAT, EBITDA, net worth, reserves, borrowings), key performance indicators (ROE, RoCE, RoNW, debt/equity, PAT margin, EBITDA margin, NAV, price-to-book) and pre- versus post-IPO valuation metrics are parsed directly from the RHP's restated financial sections. If a figure is not yet confirmed from the document, it does not appear on the page.

Dates, allotment & listing

All dates come from official filings and exchange announcements and are updated whenever new announcements land. Allotment outcomes are confirmed only on the official registrar portal. Listing prices are set by order-book demand on the exchange, never by GMP, whatever the headlines imply.

Known limitations

We would rather state our limits than hide them: grey-market quotes vary between dealers and cities; SME subscription data can arrive later than mainboard data; automated parsing of offer documents may lag for brand-new filings; and news-style reports are generated from the dataset, so they are only as fresh as the last collection cycle. When something is missing, the pages say so.
