When IPO allotment happens, how to check your allotment status with the registrar, and what happens after the allotment date has passed.
On the allotment date, open the registrar's official website, direct links are provided on each IPO page here.
Punch in your PAN, application number or DP ID to look up your application.
The result shows Allotted or Not Allotted for your application.
Allotment basis: in oversubscribed issues, retail applications are allotted by a lottery, while NII and QIB portions are allocated pro-rata. The official registrar website is always the definitive source for allotment status.
Open the registrar's official portal (KFintech, Bigshare, MUFG, Cameo or Link Intime, depending on the issue), select the IPO name and enter your PAN, application number or DP ID. Direct registrar links for every live issue are listed above on this page.
Allotment is typically finalised one working day after the bidding window closes. Under India's T+3 settlement cycle, refunds or UPI unblocks happen the same day, shares credit to demat accounts the following day, and listing takes place the next trading day.
In oversubscribed retail categories, shares are allotted by computerised lottery, so a valid application can still receive zero lots. QIB and HNI categories are allocated pro-rata instead of lottery. If you applied at cut-off through UPI and funds remain blocked, they are released automatically the same evening.
Any one of these three: your PAN, your IPO application number, or your DP ID (demat account ID). No login or password is required on the registrar's status page.
The registrar (RTA) is named in the RHP and on every DostIpo IPO page. Common registrars include KFin Technologies (KFintech), Bigshare Services, MUFG Intime, Cameo Corporate Services, Skyline Financial and Link Intime. Each card above shows the exact portal link.
